Close up grils and daddy

A close up of my previous post in couple of the girls. Have you ever read "The Miraculous journey of Edward Tulane"? Written by kate Dicamillo. Ohhh... if you have not you must! it is a children's story but one of my favorite one! I read to my children years ago and end up collecting all sorts of things from this book. Take a look here

With that in mind I made the miniature book and Edward to go with this little girl....

Preview of my dolls for next year Show & ( Fox ,Dog)

Hello there!!!*grin*

I know how fun it is to visit blogs and find new pictures on , so here they are .... a preview of some of the children that i will be bringing to my first dollhouse show next year. ( I will tell you more about it later.... i am (((very))) excited about it as it is my first time in the miniature world)!*grin*

I plan to take close ups later but here is a look of my older girls. The taller girl is equivalent a 11 years old. She is dressed in turtle neck, she will be wearing a necklace too, skinny jeans and my (FAVORITE) Hanna Andersson clogs!!! Oh my , I love them!!! My children used to wear them when they were this age and younger!!!

The other girl is 9 years old and is more girly like. the nice thing about both of these girls is that they don't only have the arms pose able but the LEGS are too.grin




NO PEAS PLEASE!!!!
Two of my seven children detest peas!! i think is funny because when they were babies i use to sit them on highchairs and give them frozen peas while I was making bread or fixing dinner. the frozen peas work so well while they were teething and I figure- great!they are also eating green veggie.Well.... didn't last too long and my little girl here is saying the same.... no peas please!!! I want her cookies!!!!grin

A close up but disregard my highchair.... it is part of my prototype and I have been lazy about finishing it up.

The little plates are my fav too. I have a little farm theme room that is under construction and I want to make a quilt . well, I grab my pencil and decided to draw and paint some farm animals.

When i draw , I normally do from reality and it is not childish but I worked hard,grin, and came up with these ones. ohh , I think they turned up so cute... don't you think?

I showed my picture to my husband and he said...." where is my blanket?" I laugh and said that is perfect!

* For those that does not know... pigs in a blanket is type of food.

Right now these are paper plates... I have been thinking to make in porcelain...

Oh yes.... here is the other two!

I have couple animals ready for the show too but I want to make something for my etsy store .... so here is my little fox....

Poseable Baby

This baby girl is my newest mini . She is on my etsy store. I made her with arms and legs that are pose able making her a lot of fun to use. I love her chubbiness !!!grin
I made her a little dress that is removable and very sweet!

As a little girl in Brasil... that was a daily thing and no much have change as still today we farm chicken too.
These one that I am showing you are much easier and less dirty, i like them!*grin*

Modern Teenager ...A musician!=)

Music is such a special thing in my life.....

Hello you, grin, thank you for visiting me today!!grin

It was about time for me to make a figurine with a music instrument. I am blessed to have my children so interest in music.... i love the sounds of classical music and hymns... it is a *treat* to my ear!

My children plays the piano, guitar , cello, violin and they sing too!! not me though.. but i love to listen to them!=)

Animals ...work in progress

Yes, these are *not* done , but I am almost there. These wolves are my best ones to date .
I think it proves to me that when making animals , more I make better I get. I don't want to sound wrong , but just encourage (((you))) out there , that can't wait to make an excellent animal and get frustrated with your final results.... keep doing and you WILL get better!!*grin*
The cheetah is my first one. I love her.... as you can see .... she needs more spots.
Making animals can be very exhausting, so my best advise for those newbies is to take your time, take breaks by letting your work sit while you work on something else and them when it *calls* you, ( believe me, if you let , it will, grin) you will be excited and ready for it.

One last thing.... having pictures of the REAL animals in different poses is very important and helpful.
