I will edit this post as soon as I can with more detail. I am letting you double click on the first image to enlarge if you want to. This is my first 1:12 child that has both bottom and top teeth!*grin*

Update: July 29
" Hi, I am back to tell you a little bit about Carolina.
As I mentioned in prior posts, my desire is to improve in both figurines and animals making. For my little girls, I have decide to pour out my heart and effort to create figurines with much more expression than just pretty dolls. I want to give my collectors a chance to have a doll that will truly speak to them. I am a mother of 7 children and I know well how much emotions takes a young child to show their feelings. I want the same for my dolls, with their body expressions, hands ,positions and specially face features. Carolina was my first effort to create a full smile including bottom and upper teeth. These teeth were truly a challenge for me because its irregular tiny shape. At the end, I was most pleased. The funny thing about sculpting faces with such expression is that I think I was smiling the entire time too, I know it sounds silly but is true. I am now wondering if when I sculpt a very angry child with a super mad expression how is it that *I* will feel, grin.
Well, this is it for now.... I am looking forward to show you the new girl I am working with it, she is so sweet. and yes, she too is smiling but in a shy way.

New girl, baby , progress work and new Mag Publication

Hello you!!*grin*

For the past few months I have been focusing on improving my little girls expressions. I want to make dolls that my collectors identify not only because they are "pretty figurines" but because they look real. In a 1:12 scale everything is harder, at least for me,grin. Tiny teeth is not only minuscule in its size but the shape is very important too. I am working with 3 new dolls that each have completely different moods and expression. take a look on pictures on the bottom of this post to see some WIP. All 3 of them have teeth however 2 are happy and 1 is sad. I am very excited about these girls because I feel that I walked up one step. The girl that has her arms around her forehead was so difficult for me ,that more than once I thought to give up and now she may be my favorite of the three. I still have to add their eyelash , in which in my opinion, brings up *life* to the figurine.

I also made some real small kids! the baby boy is so cute and small, I truly love him, his name is Josh. Then the little girl... she is special to me.... her eyes is telling me that she has a temper...reminds me of some of my children, grin, and her baby doll is only 3/4 of an inch! that is tiny!!!
These 3 are listed on ebay , if you have a chance , click on my auction tab and go see more pictures there.

The magazine below is not local as one may think since the name is Charlotte, it is from Charlotte county , Florida. I was surprised when the writer emailed me and asked if she could feature my work on this article. This was a *treat* to me knowing that this is not a miniature magazine and the audience is another different group!

Thank you so much for stopping by, viewing my work, send me notes and for leaving me comments, you are all so wonderful to me and I want you to know that is with great joy and smile in my face that I read your comments!*grin*
ps. pardon my *white* fngers!:-)

Maggie~

Please meet my new little girl - Maggie!

I have been experimenting with my oil paintings and I really like how the features are becoming more realistic. I am layering the colors as I heat set and this creates a much smoother finish.

Would you honestly agree with me, by comparing my newly dolls with some of my early ones that you have notice any difference? I truly would love to hear from you. *grin*
I also decided to add eyelashes. Yes, Yes it is a pain in the neck but I think is well worth it.
The second picture is a close up. I am letting you double click and see it in an extremely large size so you can see the details. keep in mind the Maggie is equivalent a 5 years old child. She measured close to 4" tall before I sat her down.
thank you.....*grin*
Ps. Maggie will be list today on my ebay.
